• Let me introduce myself:
My parents had a profound effect on me in choosing teaching as a career, especially because of my father's involvement in all facets of the educational community.  I pursued teaching, knowing at an early age that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. He instilled in me a passion for early childhood development, because of his love and devotion for teaching. Every day provides a personally rewarding experience as I watch each child grow.
I did my undergraduate work at Eastern College and received a masters degree in reading from Central Connecticut University with additional post graduate work in early childhood education.
Immediately after college I began teaching in the New Hartford Public Schools. This is my 39th year of  involvement in elementary education,   I have been fortunate to have taught grades K-4 with a primary focus on grade one.  It is exciting to be teaching some of the children of parents I had taught at the beginning of my career.
I live in West Hartford. I enjoy cooking, biking and trips to Nantucket, shopping, reading, and best of all spending time with my friends and family.
