• Physical Education Curriculum
For most of the year, students in grades 3 through 6 participate in the same units.  Skill building activities change each year depending on skill level and also comfort for individuals.         Students in grade 3 do not participate in Project Adventure.  In place of this unit, grade 3 students have a Body Awareness Unit.  In this unit, activities include forward & backward rolls, log rolls, egg rolls, a variety of balance activities and yoga stances.  At the end of the unit, students create a routine involving those skills that they will demonstrate in front of the class. They can choose to do this alone, with a partner, or with a small group.
Grade 6 students learn and play a game called Speedball.  Speedball is a fast-paced game that involves the combination of basketball, football, and soccer.
Students in grades 4,5, and 6 participate in the Project Adventure unit.  (See other page).
