    From the School Offices: 

    • Yearbook Fundraiser: Grade 6 students will be conducting a fundraiser for their yearbook as well as other student activities. To help with your holidays they will be selling Lyman Orchard pies and Cookie Dough from MCM Fundraising, Inc. There is also a Simply Shipped Collection with a variety of items to choose from.  The sale begins November 2 and runs through November 16. More information is here. Order forms will be sent home with grade 6 students on Monday, November 2. For additional forms, contact your school office.  


    • 1:1 Devices: We recently sent home 1:1 chromebook device agreements. Please return with parent and student signatures along with $10.00 for device insurance. As always if there is a financial concern call your building principal. 


    • Picture retake day will be Wednesday, November 11, at all three schools! Please be sure to return pictures that you would like retaken. If you were not available for the original picture day contact the school office for order forms. 


    • Coloring Contest: Attention Kindergarten-Fourth Grade ARTISTS! The Connecticut Christmas Tree Growers Association is sponsoring its 20th statewide Christmas tree coloring contest. Children in grades K-4 can win a fresh Christmas tree for their family. Please visit http://www.ctchristmastree.org for the coloring page and details.  

    From the PE Teacher: 

    NEW! We will be going outside for PE unless it is raining or too cold. Please make sure to send your child to school with appropriate clothing on PE days so they will be warm enough outside. If you have any questions please email me at marquisv@newhtfd.org

    From the Health Office: 

    NEW! COVID 19 Testing: Griffin Health is conducting Free Drive-Thru Testing on Thursdays from 11:00AM to 3:00PM.

    Farmington Valley Health has provided updated COVID 19 protocols. If your child has traveled please consult the school nurse for further guidance.   Please keep your child home if they have experienced any of the following in the past 24 hours:

    • Fever of over 100.4 (and above)
    • New or worsening cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Sore throat
    • Diarrhea
    • New loss of taste of smell
    • Contact with a person with known or suspected COVID 19

    If you answer "yes" to any of the above please stay home, self isolate and contact your physician. Please notify the nurse if you or your child has had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID 19 or if you have traveled via airplane internationally or domestically to a state on Connecticut's travel advisory list. Please keep the student home. 

    After School Care: The BASES Antolini program would like to share information about the program available to all New Hartford students. 



    • Scholastic Book Fair: It's is an online/virtual book fair this year! Here are some of the details and more information will follow! 


    • Spirit Day: Don't forget to celebrate New Hartford Public Schools by wearing red on the first Friday of the month! 


    • We are continuing with our gotsneakers? program! There are collection boxes at each of our schools. All proceeds benefit Project Playground



    • New Hartford Basketball: Due to COVID-19 we are unable to find local schools that are allowing outside organizations to use their gyms. Unfortunately there will not be a New Hartford Youth Basketball travel season. See this flyer for a link to opportunities offered by Connecticut NorthStars in Canton.
