Welcome to New Hartford Public Schools!  I am honored to serve as your Interim Superintendent and work alongside our students, staff, families and community.  

Biography
Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote is a seasoned educational leader with over four decades of educational experience in public education, including 13.5 years as a superintendent.  She has a proven track record of success in leading high-performing districts, fostering collaborative leadership, and driving student achievement. Dr. Paddyfote specializes in policy development, budget oversight, special education, curriculum leadership, and building strong relationships with Boards of Education, staff, parents, and community stakeholders.

Following her tenure as a superintendent, Dr. Paddyfote has served as an interim superintendent in multiple Connecticut school districts, providing stable and effective leadership during critical transition periods.  She has also held key administrative roles, including Director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services, Assistant Superintendent, and Acting Assistant Chief of Talent.  Her leadership is characterized by a commitment to communication, teamwork, and results-driven decision-making.

Dr. Paddyfote holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Supervision and Evaluation from Fairfield University, a Bachelor’s degree in Regular and Special Education, and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of St. Joseph.  She is certified as a Superintendent of Schools and has extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership development, and educational governance.
