School Facility Utilization Task Force

Why?
The Boards of Education, Selectmen, and Finance are seeking community engagement. We believe it is both timely and essential that we work together to thoughtfully examine the long-term direction of our school district through the School Facility Utilization Task Force.  Our three schools have a current enrollment of 445 students.  Ann Antolini has 250 students.  Bakerville Consolidated has 95 students.  New Hartford Elementary has 96 students.  

What?
The Task Force, in consultation with Silver Petrucelli and Associates (SPA), will identify potential paths forward for our school district, considering factors such as educational programming, service delivery, professional development, three school facility utilization and fiscal sustainability.  The Task Force wants to hear from you regarding the potential paths.  Those may include continuing to support our three school structure, consolidating to two schools, consolidating to one school, constructing new schools, adding an addition to one school, etc.  We will hold an initial organizational meeting to define the scope, structure, and goals of the task force.

Who?
The Task Force is composed of three Board of Education members, two Board of Selectmen members, two Board of Finance members and two community members (one with children in schools currently and one with no children in school currently). Members names are listed below.
