School Nurse
New Hartford Public Schools is Seeking a Full-Time Nurse
The New Hartford Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a full-time nurse (RN/LPN). A current CT RN/LPN License is required along with up-to-date CPR/First Aid Training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Mandated by Connecticut State Regulations 10-212-1 to 10-212-7)
- Holds a valid RN/LPN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing;
- Has one year of work experience within the last five years;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Based on current recommendations of the National Association of School Nurses, Association of School Nurses of Connecticut, American Academy of Pediatrics and Connecticut Task Force on School Nurse Certification):
- Holds valid RN/LPN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing;
- Has successfully completed degree program in nursing from an accredited school;
- Has successfully completed two years full time equivalent (FTE) employment in nursing, one of which should be in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years; or one year FTE employment in pediatric, adolescent, community, or public health nursing within the past five years;
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate; and
- Certification in school nursing by a national nursing certification body, when eligible.
SALARY: $43,000-$51,000 (depending on certification). This position includes benefits.
