Summer Learning

  • There are many things students can do to keep their learning going throughout the summer.  Here are few ideas to get you started!

    Reading

Keep reading every day!  For those looking to join a challenge there are many different opportunities.  See the information below.

    • Mrs. Pfeffer's Reading MarathonFor each book read by New Hartford Public Schools students and their families, Mrs. Pfeffer and Mrs. Mathes will walk 10 steps. Mrs. Carroll will walk 10 steps for each book read by Bakerville and New Hartford Elementary Schools students and their families.  Mrs. Shaw will do the same for Antolini students and their families. In addition, Mrs. Plourde, Mrs. White, Mrs. Underwood, Mrs. Harris, and Ms. Gaedeke will be joining as walkers.

Join us as we read towards a 5k. This challenge will run from Monday, June 14th - Friday, August 27th.  Reading logs should be submitted to Mrs. Pfeffer during the first week of school.

    Math

Keep practicing your math facts and find math wherever you go!  Card games and board games are also great ways to do this.  Check out the ideas below.

    Online Programs

Students will continue to have access to Lexia and Dreambox.  To access these programs, students should log into their Clever dashboard.  Select login with Google and then enter your school username and password.  The link to Clever can be found here or on the classroom pages of our district website.
