ABOUT US
About Us:
The New Hartford Education Fund is funded by grants, private gifting and tax-deductible contributions, that will promote excellence in education, encourage innovation and creativity and broaden learning opportunities for all New Hartford students. New Hartford Education Fund monies will enhance and enrich teaching and learning experiences in the New Hartford Public Schools beyond the funding provided by the Town of New Hartford.
Mission:
The New Hartford Education Fund seeks to promote excellence in the New Hartford Public Schools through the effective use of donations and grants. A further goal is to increase community support for and understanding of the educational mission of the New Hartford Public Schools.
Goals:
1. Present at least one grant award to each of the three schools each school year
2. Demonstrate to parents, teachers and the community how the fund is working for our schools
Grant Distributions
Achievements of the New Hartford Education Fund include the following:
✰Antolini School Garden Project
✰Rubik's Cube Math Project- Ann Antolini
✰Partial funding for new Ann Antolini Playground
✰Contribution towards R7 Robotics team
✰Partial funding for school library automation programs at all three schools
✰Technology purchases including a mobile computer lab at Ann Antolini
✰Funding for Project Adventure startup and equipment
✰Funding for computer equipment for children with disabilities

GRANTS
Type of grants
Grants are awarded in two categories:
Mini Grants
Mini Grants are funded by NHEF and awarded to educators for enrichment projects and associated materials. Mini grants are typically in the amount of $500.00 or less.
Excellence Grants
Excellence Grants are funded by NHEF and awarded for innovative programs that support multidisciplinary projects, technology, arts, and/or collaborative grade level, school level, and community enrichment projects. This category also includes “professional-in-residence” programs that bring skilled artisans or experts into the classroom.
